I am a performance artist who uses multiple techniques to express embodied emotional states in the context of social-political conditions. My performances iteratively process my memories through expanded performance; I layer the forms of movement on camera, video creation, sound recording and design, print making and installation art.

I make representational images and sounds to embody the synthesis of personal memories and political subjects. Like sitting at a kitchen table, or putting on lipstick, images on the register of the everyday are a focus in my practice. The contrast of ordinary moments and intense emotion make images and objects that feel both mundane and metaphysically charged. My work visualizes self-concept and the affective responses of the body, giving artistic sensation to experiences like pleasure and grief.

Despair of Demolition (2025) is an ongoing project that uses sound design, sculpture installation, printmaking, and performance on camera to speak to my feeling of living with socially hostile urbanism. MOUTH (2023) is a performance on camera, live performance, sound design, digital photography, and installation project that expresses the titular orifice as a locus of grief on my Black femme body.

My practice is grounded in postcolonial theory and feminist body politics, and collaboration as a method of inquiry. I was an artist-in-residence with Performing Arts Brampton (2022) and Silverfish (Tkaronto, 2023), and my art works have been shown in Tkaronto and along the Haldimand Tract. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Visual Culture and Studio Art from the University of Waterloo and a Master of Visual Studies in Curatorial Studies from the University of Toronto.
